You can now self-refer for the Musculoskeletal Therapy Services (MSK) for physiotherapy appointments, with no requirement to see your GP first.

Musculoskeletal (MSK) Therapy Services are a group of departments that work together to support patients with musculoskeletal conditions, which are diseases and injuries relating to muscles, bones and joints.

You are now able to refer yourself into the MSK Therapies Service via the below link. While you are waiting for an appointment, you can access the information and self-help resources located on the website.

Community Connectors is a Social Prescribing service which you can self refer to, working in partnership with GP Practices across Hastings, supporting you to improve your health and well-being. We help you to develop personalised and practical solutions to everyday issues. Social Prescribing helps you to explore services, groups and activities that can support you to improve your health and emotional well-being. Addressing difficult issues needs extra time and support.

You can self refer to The Community Bladder and Bowel Advisory Service who provide a comprehensive and proactive service to meet the needs of men and women who have complex continence problems. The team implements education and training programmes, on all aspects of continence care for health professionals, social services and the independent sector.

Non-urgent advice: Maternity and sexual health

Maternity self referral

Self-refer to have your baby with East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust’s maternity services. It is important that you arrange to see your midwife as soon as you think you may be pregnant; ideally between 8 and 10 weeks into your pregnancy. This will ensure you are given the right information, choices and support you need to help you make informed decisions about your maternity care. It will also enable us to offer you health related advice.
