Home Visits

Doctor's bag

We ask patients to come to the surgery whenever possible where there are better facilities for diagnosis and treatment.

If your condition means you cannot attend the practice the doctor can visit you at home. Please phone before 11:00 to arrange a visit.

Home visits are usually done when the doctor has completed morning or afternoon surgery. If you are uncertain whether you need a visit, the doctor will be happy to advise you on the telephone.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
