Do It Online

Online Services - Patient Access

What is Patient Access?

With patient access you can:

  • Order repeat prescriptions online
  • Book a GP appointment online
  • View your medical records

How do I register?

Patients aged 16 years old* and over will need to show their own photo I.D. to a receptionist who will provide you with a registration letter to set-up your online account.

*Advice from our CCG is that the surgery cannot provide children’s access details due to confidentiality issues.

Is my information secure?

All information that is sent to your surgery via EMIS Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information

Ordering prescriptions

Please allow 48 hours for your prescription to be issued when ordering online. If you require medication that is not showing on your repeat list please note the details of the medication in the free text box.

Booking appointments

The practice offers appointments to patients who would have difficulty attending during normal working hours. These appointments are available to be booked online only and are primarily for working patients.

You can cancel appointments online but we ask that you cancel no later than 1 hour before your appointment time. If you do need to cancel an appointment that is within 1 hour, we ask that you telephone the surgery so we can avoid wasted appointments.

Viewing medical records

From April 2016 you can request to view most aspects of your medical records online – problems, diagnosis, medication, allergies, results and immunisations. Please speak to reception regarding this.
